Cesár Sampson Reveals ‘Nobody But You’

Early on in the Eurovision 2018 season, Austria revealed their representative for the contest this year, with that being Cesár Sampson. It’s been a long road to reach this moment, where we can finally listen to his entry which is titled Nobody But You.

The first demo of the song was created by Cesár Sampson and Sebastian Arman, and once the idea was in place, the song was worked on by three members of Symphonix, Joacim Persson, Borislav Milanov and Johan Alkenäs. As you may know, Symphonix has worked on the Bulgarian entries of both 2016 and 2017 which were their best placings in the contest. Cesár Sampson was also a part of these two Bulgarian entries, but now he has stepped out from being behind the scenes, and will be front and centre at Eurovision this year.

Cesár commented on the contest and his participation, saying, ‘Eurovision provides a unique presentation platform, unique not only for its sheer size, but especially because there isn’t anything else like it in that particular format. It is about the whole picture made up of various jigsaw pieces. Eurovision does not reduce musical entertainment to a mere talent contest. Instead it invites promising new acts, seasoned underdogs, and national stars alike to show who they are. Theoretically anyone can win’ which begs the question, could Austria win with this song?
