Eurovision World Cup FINAL – Denmark vs Sweden

For the duration of the actual World Cup, some of the best Eurovision artists old and new will be battling it out in a series of matches that mirror the World Cup itself. By the end, we will know the first winner of our Eurovision World Cup!

On each competition day of the World Cup, all of the matches for that day will be posted here on Eurovision Union. For a full 24 hours, a poll will be open for each match and it will be up to you to pick which of the representative songs will win the match.

We have OFFICIALLY reached the Final of the Eurovision World Cup, and boy has it been an interesting competition! Featured in today’s final are two incredibly popular Eurovision entries, and either one would be deserving of the win, but it’s totally up to YOU to decide which will win the Eurovision World Cup!

Today’s competitors:

Denmark has a lengthy history at the contest, having first participated in 1957. Since then, they have won the contest no less than three times, in 1963, 2000 and 2013. Since we loved all three winning entries, it was difficult to choose the representative, however we have chosen Emmelie de Forest with Only Teardrops which is the most recent winner from Denmark. Listen to the song here:

If we look at wins at Eurovision, it’s very clear that Sweden is one of the most successful nations at the contest, having won the contest a total of six times. With that said, we had to pick just one representative for Sweden in our Eurovision World Cup, and it was certainly a tough choice. In the end we picked one of our most iconic winners, and that’s Loreen with Euphoria which won in 2012.

Voting is now closed and we officially have a winner of the Eurovision World Cup! Congratulations to Denmark who have managed to beat Sweden with only 2 votes difference!

Competition ranking:

1st – Denmark

2nd – Sweden

3rd – Ukraine

4th – Germany

Thank you for getting involved with our Eurovision World Cup!
