This year, the Georgian broadcaster has decided to internally select the act to represent Georgia in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. The band who will represent Georgia are titled Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitas. The band is known for their alternative style, which we will soon get to see on the Eurovision stage.
As for the song, the broadcaster GPB has announced that they will choose from the song submitted to them over the last month. It was requested that songwriters send in their entries, and stated that they should be created especially with the band in mind. The aim is to have a song strong in melody, accompanied by indie or alternative beats. As per the rules of the Eurovision Song Contest, the song must not have been commercially released before September of 2015.
The best five songs chosen by GPB will be presented to the public, and the winning song will then be chosen by both public voting and an expert jury.
