Sweden: Melodifestivalen 2021 Line-Up Complete

Swedish broadcaster SVT have revealed the 28 participants of the upcoming edition of Melodifestivalen with 27 of those entries selected from a total of 2747 submitted entries. The 28th entrant, Julia Alfrida was selected via P4 Nästa in September. The competitors were revealed over three days instead of the usual press conference used in previous years.

  • Elisa – “Den du är”
  • Emil AssergĂ¥rd – “Om allting skiter sig”
  • Eric Saade – “Every Minute”
  • Eva Rydberg & Ewa Roos – “Rena rama ding dong”
  • Frida Green – “The silence”
  • Jessica Andersson – “Horizon”
  • Julia Alfrida – “Rich”
  • Kadiatou – “One Touch”
  • Klara Hammarström – “Beat Of Broken Hearts”

Last year’s winners, The Mamas will be returning to the competition, hoping to secure their place at Eurovision once again. Robin Stjernberg, who represented Sweden at Eurovision back in 2013 is a songwriter for their entry, In The Middle.

Also featured in the line-up is Eric Saade, who represented Sweden in 2011 with the song Popular. Jessica Andersson represented Sweden in 2003 as one half of Fame. Charlotte Perrelli won Eurovision back in 1999 with the song Take Me To Your Heaven, and returned to the competition in 2008 with the song Hero.

Former Eurovision representative Anna Bergendahl also returns this year, but as a songwriter for Frida Green.
