JESC: National Selection Begins in Poland!

Poland is continuing their Junior Eurovision journey after returning to the contest in 2016, and their selection process has begun for 2017. National Broadcaster TVP have opened the submissions period, which will continue until the 11th of September.

The Polish national final will be taking place on the 1st of October, and will feature singers between the ages of 9 to 14, as prescribed by the Junior Eurovision rules. The winner will be chosen through a mixture of televote and jury vote.

Poland first made their debut at Junior Eurovision back in 2003, the debut year of Junior Eurovision itself. Unfortunately, Poland finished in last place that year, but returned in 2004 to try their luck again. Same story for 2004, finishing equal last with Latvia. The nation then took an extended break and returned again only last year, with Olivia Wieczorek and the song Nie Zapomnij, which finished in 11th place.
