Belarus confirms National Final for Eurovision 2018!

A while back, we reported that Belarus would be continuing tradition by using a national final to select their Eurovision 2018. This is now completely confirmed, with the Belarusian broadcaster announcing the details for the 2018 selection.

In our last post, we predicted that the national selection would take place in December or January, based off the previous years, however Belarus is taking their time, and we will be seeing the final no later than the  1st of March. The submission period will continue until the 26th of December, and will welcome both Belarusian and international singers and songwriters.

After the song submission period, a jury will assess the submissions through a live audition process, and from there, the jury will select no more than 15 acts for the national final, and this decision will be made no later than the 14th of January.

After the final acts are decided on, all that’s left is the actual televised national final. There is no clear date, but it will be no later than the 1st of March. The winner will be decided by a 50/50 split between jury and televoting.
