Eurovision 2018: Three More Qualifiers in Romania!

Over the weekend, the second semi-final in Romania’s national selection, Selecția Națională took place, where another 12 songs took to the stage hoping to receive one of just three qualifying places to the final.

This week, the show took place in Timişoara, and the show was opened by Ricardo Caria performing last year’s winning Eurovision entry, Amar Pelos Dois. He also performed the closing act, ‘Lisboa.’ The interval act for this week’s show featured performances from Cargo, Lavinia Răducanu and Neda Ukraden.

Here are the competing artists from the second semi-final:

  • Pragu’ de Sus – Te Voi Chema

As we know from last week, the top three acts are selected solely through a jury vote, with the jury consisting of Liliana Ştefan, Viorel Gavrilă, Ilinca Băcilă, Nicu Patoi and Marian Ionescu. In the final however, the winner will be determined by televote only.

Let’s get into this week’s voting!

So as we can see, there was a near unanimous decision regarding who was the best of this week’s semi-final, and that was Jukebox feat. Bella Santiago with the song Auzi cum bate. With the points combined, they scored 58 points, whilst second place Rafael & Friends scored a total of 40.
