Over the last month, we’ve been watching Hungary reduce their 30 long list of semi-finalists down to just 8 entries. There were three heats and two semi-finals, with the last semi-final taking place overnight. There were a total of 9 acts in the semi-final with just four qualifying to the final which will take place next weekend.
As in the first semi-final which took place last week, three of the nine acts qualify after the first round of voting, which comprises of both jury and televote. The fourth qualifier comes out of a second round of voting which is 100% televoting.
Here’s the line-up:
-
Cintia Horváth & Tomi Balogh – Journey (Break Your Chains)
-
AWS – Viszlát nyár
-
Odett – Aranyhal
-
Viktor Király – Budapest girl
-
Nikoletta Szőke, Attila Kökény and Róbert Szakcsi Lakatos – Életre kel
-
Tamás Horvath – Meggyfa
-
Tamás Vastag – Ne hagyj reményt
-
Ceasefire X – Satellites
-
yesyes – I Let You Run Away
The first round of voting saw AWS top the table with 46 points, and not far behind was yesyes with their song I Let You Run Away which received 45 points. Coming in third was Viktor Király with his song Budapest Girl.
If based on only one round of voting, it would have been Ceasefire X who would have qualified with the song satellites, as he finished on 40 points, but as we know the remaining six acts go in for another round of voting, and it was Tamás Horvath who took the final place in the Grand Final.
These four qualifiers will join last week’s qualifiers, so here is the final line-up:
-
Gábor Heincz Biga – Good Vibez
-
Zsolt Süle – Zöld a május
-
Gergely Dánielfy – Azt mondtad
-
Leander Kills – Nem szól harang
-
AWS – Viszlát nyár
-
Viktor Király – Budapest girl
-
Tamás Horvath – Meggyfa
-
yesyes – I Let You Run Away
