Eurovision World Cup: France vs Australia

For the duration of the actual World Cup, some of the best Eurovision artists old and new will be battling it out in a series of matches that mirror the World Cup itself. By the end, we will know the first winner of our Eurovision World Cup!

On each competition day of the World Cup, all of the matches for that day will be posted here on Eurovision Union. For a full 24 hours, a poll will be open for each match and it will be up to you to pick which of the representative songs will win the match.

It is Day 3 of the World Cup, and today features four huge matches from Group C and D. This match is between  France and Australia, so let’s see the entries!

Today’s Competitors:

France has competed at Eurovision an incredible 61 times, and has won the contest a total of five times. Their first win was in 1958, and their most recent was in 1977, so we had a bit of choice as to who would represent France at the Eurovision World Cup! In the end, we picked our favourite which is Frida Boccara with Un jour, en enfant. Watch the performance below:

Australia is relatively new to Eurovision, having participated in only four contest, but have had a fairly successful run. Representing the nation in the Eurovision World Cup is none other than Dami Im who managed to finish in 2nd place at the 2016 contest with the song Sound of Silence. Check out the performance here:
