More news has been released this week about the act that is set to represent Serbia at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest! Serbian broadcaster RTS has now revealed that 13 year old Bojana Radovanović will fly the Serbian flag in Minsk, Belarus later this year.
The decision was made internally after submissions were sent into the broadcaster for both the artists and the songs. Bojana was chosen by a professional jury with the song Svet (World). Unfortunately we’ll have to wait a little longer to hear the song!
This will be Serbia’s 10th appearance at the contest, and over their history the nation has had mixed results. Since their return in 2014 the nation has maintained a mid-table average, with their best result in recent years being 7th place back in 2015. Before their break in 2011 – 2013, Serbia had finished in 3rd place twice in 2007 and 2010.
We’ll just have to wait and see whether Bojana will bring Serbia a great result in their 10th Junior Eurovision appearance! Stay tuned for more news including the release of Svet!
