Sweden: Melodifestivalen 2019 acts announced!

Sweden’s long running national selection, Melodifestivalen has been a staple in the Eurovision season and is highly anticipated. The upcoming edition is no exception, and many fans have been waiting for the announcement of who will be competing in Melodifestivalen 2019.

That time has come, and now we know who will be competing as well as the song titles. The line-up features many familiar faces, and even without hearing the songs it is clear that it will be a tough competition.

Here is the full line-up:

Semi-Final 1 – Gothenburg

  • Anna Bergendahl – “Ashes to Ashes”
  • Nano – “Chasing Rivers”
  • Mohombi – “Hello”
  • Zeana feat. Anis Don Demina – “Mina bränder” (My fires)
  • Arja Saijonmaa – “Mina fyra årstider” (My four seasons)
  • High15 – “No Drama”
  • Wiktoria – “Not With Me”

Semi-Final 2 – Malmö

  • Andreas Johnson – “Army of Us”
  • Hanna Ferm & LIAMOO – “Hold You”
  • Malou Prytz – “I Do Me”
  • Oscar Enestad – “I Love It”
  • Jan Malmsjö – “Leva livet” (Long live life)

Semi-Final 3 – Leksand

Semi-Final 4 – Lidköping

The first semi-final will take place on the 2nd of February 2019, with weekly semi-finals leading to the final on March 9th. Here is the full schedule:

  • Semi-Final 3 – Leksand – February 16
  • Semi-Final 4 – Lidköping – February 23
  • Andra Chansen/Second Chance – Nyköping- March 2
  • Final – Stockholm – March 9
