The first live show of the debut season of the X Factor Malta has taken place, with the 12 finalists performing songs to the theme, ‘This is Me.’
As we previously reported, the four X Factor judges selected the final three competitors in their respective categories through the Judges’ Houses stage of the competition, however this is the first live stage of the competition.
Here is the list of performances from the first live show:
- 4th Line – Survivor
- Luke Chappell – Overthinking (original song)
- Nicole Frendo – Too Good at Goodbyes
- Franklin Calleja – Jealous
- Xtreme – Side to Side/Woman Like Me
- Michela Pace – Lost on You
- Norbert Bondin – Say Something
- Kayati – Nobody’s perfect
- Ben Purplle – Dancing On My Own
- Owen Leuellen – Can’t Hold Us
- Petra – What’s Up?
- Kelsey Bellante – Chained to the Rhythm
The contestant with the fewest public votes was eliminated immediately, which in this week’s show was Kayati. The participants who had to perform in the final showdown were Franklin Calleja and Xtreme, with three of the four judges voting to eliminate Franklin, meaning that this is the end of the road for Franklin.

The winner of X Factor Malta will go on to represent the nation at Eurovision this year, also scoring a record deal with Sony Music Italy.
