Last week we launched our Eurovision 2019 poll, where we aimed to find out which act you, the fans, think will win this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Each week, we will be recapping the results of the poll to see who is leading the vote, and who is floating in and out of the Top 10.
Throughout most of the week we saw two artists hold the lead, the first being Mahmood who is representing Italy, and the other was Duncan Laurence who is representing the Netherlands. Despite that, mid-week we saw a shift to see a new leader, which is Luca Hänni who is representing Switzerland with the song She Got Me.
Switzerland currently hold over 30% of the vote which is a significant lead over the second placed Netherlands which currently hold over 8% of the vote. In third is Italy with over 6% of the vote.
Here is the full Top 10 as it currently stands:
- The Netherlands
How does this compare with the odds?
At the time of writing this, The Netherlands currently top the odds with Russia not too far behind. Then we see Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Cyprus, Iceland, Greece, Malta and Norway. Compared to our poll results currently, we see 8 of our current poll Top 10 also in the odds Top 10.
The two acts in our results that aren’t in the Top 10 odds are Australia, who are currently in 17th in the odds and Portugal who are in 11th in the odds at the moment. As we know, this can all change so stay tuned for our next poll recap!
