Albanian broadcaster RTSH has opened the submission period for the next edition of Festivali i Këngës, which will be the 58th edition of the song festival.
Artists and Songwriters are invited to submit their entries for the competition, which since 2004 has been used to determine the Albanian Eurovision representative. The broadcaster has not yet stated whether this will be the format that will select the 2020 representative, however due to precedent it is likely that this will be the case.
The competition will take place in December.
Jonida Maliqi represented Albania in 2019 with the song Ktheju tokës which finished in 17th place with a total of 90 points. Watch the performance below:
