The French Eurovision national selection, Eurovision France: C’est Vous Qui Décidez has now taken place, with the next French Eurovision representative decided.
A total of 12 acts competed in the televised final, with two rounds used to decide the winner. IN the first round, the top 7 songs that received the most televotes qualified to the next stage. Then, one of the non-qualifying songs was selected by the jury to join them. The 8 finalists competed again in a round of voting, where the voting consisted of jury and televote both worth 50%.
The jury consisted of France’s 2016 artist Amir, and it also included fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier, Eurovision winners Marie Myriam and Duncan Laurence as well as former participants such as Natasha St-Pier (2001).

The qualifiers of the first round of voting were:

The jury wildcard was LMK with her song, Magique.
In the second round of voting, the jury favoured Barbara Pravi who received 104 points, followed by Juliette Moraine on 76, and Pony X with 74 points. In the public vote, Barbara Pravi also topped the vote with 100 points, followed by Casanova with 80 points, and Amui with 70 points.
With the points combined, Barbara Pravi finished on the top of the table with a total of 204 points. She will sing the song Voilà at Eurovision this year.
This is not Barbara’s first experience with the Eurovision family of events, having written the latest two French Junior Eurovision entries, Bim Bam Toi which was performed by Carla, as well as J’Imagine, performed by Valentina. The latter won Junior Eurovision Song Contest back in November 2020. Barbara has also written songs for famous French singers like Yannick Noah and Chimène Badi. Her song this year is an introduction to herself as a leading artist, having been a songwriter primarily.
