After a winning a national final last year, Natalia Gordienko was set to represent Moldova with the song Prison. After missing out on the opportunity to perform on the Eurovision stage due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Natalia is back this year.
As per the Eurovision rules, last year’s songs were ineligible to compete at this year’s contest. The 2021 Moldovan entry has now been released, with Natalia Gordienko to sing ‘Sugar’ in Rotterdam this year.
The song was showcased at an event which saw former Eurovision artists Dima Bilan and Ani Lorak as guests. The song was written by Dimitris Kontopoulos and Philipp Kirkorov, with lyrics by Mikhail Gutseriyev and Sharon Vaughn.
