Jana Burčeska to Represent FYR Macedonia!

Public broadcaster MRT have announced that Jana Burčeska will represent FYR Macedonia in Kyiv next year for Eurovision 2017. The song that Jana will sing will be released at a later date.

Jana rose to fame in 2011, when she featured on the first season of Macedonian Idol. She ended up in 5^th place, the highest placing female singer of the season. She has also previous performed on Skopje Fest, which in previous years has been used to choose FYR Macedonia’s Eurovision participants, however in the years she did participate, it was not used as the selection process.

About her upcoming performance in Eurovision, she has said, ‘I would like to infinitely thank the National Broadcaster for investing their trust and choosing me to represent our country in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. I am grateful and really appreciate the opportunity I’ve been given, but am also aware of the responsibilities I must bear. My heart skipped a beat when I was told the good news and I have kept on smiling ever since’

MRT have promised a modern performance from this years’ participant, however have not yet released a date for the song to be debuted. Stay tuned for more announcements about FYR Macedonia’s act!
