Croatia Internally Selects Jacques Houdek!

More news of internally selected artists, this time from Croatia, where the Croatian broadcaster HRT has now officially announced that Jacques Houdek will be flying the Croatian flag at Eurovision in May. The song that he will sing is yet to be released, however will be released soon.

Jacques, whose birth name is Zeljko, is 35 years old and was born in Zagreb. His professional singing career began in 2002, and has actually been a part of the Eurovision national selection for Croatia, Dora, a number of times. He is a well-known judge on The Voice of Croatia, of which Nina Kraljic won in 2015.

Jacques has talked about his upcoming participation, saying, ‘I am extremely happy and thank Croatian Radio and Television for the trust they have shown”, he then went on to say, ‘Being a representative of Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest is a big honour for me and I’m grateful for the opportunity’

More about the song that Jacques will sing, where it has been said that the song will ‘arouse interest’ and that the delegation, who is led by Zeljko Mesar, is confident in their entry for this year.
