Jamala and ONUKA to perform as interval acts!

As we begin the countdown to Eurovision 2017, all the pieces are finally coming together. Details about the interval act of the contest have been released by the host broadcaster UA:PBC. Ukrainian band ONUKA will be performing in the Grand Final, whilst Jamala will be performing her new single, I Believe In U.

ONUKA is an electronic band which ties in traditional Ukrainian folk music and motifs. The band was founded in 2013 and have since released a number of albums and singles. They will be performing in the Grand Final in this year’s Eurovision, and are currently preparing their performance. Watch the video for their 2016 single Vidlik below:

Jamala will also be taking to the stage, which is tradition to see the winning artist perform during the hosting year. In the first semi-final, she will be performing her winning Eurovision entry 1944, although a revamped version, as well as her single Lured. During the Grand Final, she will be performing her new single I Believe In U.

The filming for the video for I Believe in U has already been completed in Portugal. It took a total of 3 days, and featured various locations including the capital Lisbon. Jamala will also perfom a concert in Kyiv Sports Palace on Friday the 12th of May, where she will perform songs off her latest album and previous hits.
