Georgia Announces their 2017 Junior Eurovision Artist!
As we reported yesterday, Georgia were only hours off sharing the name of the young star who would be performing on behalf of the host country at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and as promised, we now know!
Georgia’s Public Broadcaster (GBP) has announced that it will be Grigol Kipshidze who will be flying the Georgian flag. Grigol was born in the nation’s capital, Tbilisi, where the contest will be held this November. Between 2011 and 2015, he studied at the National Centre for Folklore, and in 2014 joined the city’s Vocal Academy. He has taken part in various singing competitions, and was even a finalist of the X Factor Georgia. This prepares him well for his next big performance, on the 26th of November with the home crowd backing him!
The song will be released in the coming weeks! For now, check out the Top 10 Georgian Entries at Junior Eurovision:
