Eurovizijos continues: Here are the qualifiers of the second heat!

Over the weekend, the second (of many) shows took place in Lithuania, where another 12 participants took to the stage to present their potential Eurovision songs. Out of the 12 acts, a total of six qualified to the next round of the show, and this week’s results saw some surprises!

Here are the 12 acts that performed this week:

  • Juozas Martin – Don’t Give Up

  • Justina Žukauskaitė – Love Doesn’t Lie

  • Elvina Milkauskaitė – So Long My Love, My Lover

  • LJ – Over Now

  • Rūta Kotryna – Ghost

  • Saulės Kliošas – Man Gaila

  • Twosome – Hello

  • Paula – 1 2 3

  • Audrius Petrauskas – In My Bones

  • Elizabeth Olshey – Bejausmis

  • Mia – Arrows

  • Emilija Valiukevičiūtė – Bye Bye

As we know, the voting is split between the jury and public vote. Through the show, the split votes are revealed, and here’s how it went down…

The jury votes put Saulės Kliošas at the top of the table with the highest votes, being 12 points. Coming in at second place was Twosome, and then third Juozas Martin. Receiving 7 points was Audrius Petrauskas, and 6 points was given to Paula.

The televoting saw a different result, with Paula receiving the top votes from the Lithuanian public. Coming in at second in the televoting was Elizabeth Olshey, who was only given 3 points from the jury. Third favourite with the public was Twosome, and then following them was Mia and then the jury’s top pick Saulės Kliošas was given 6 points.

Even though there was a bit of variation between the jury and televotes, the favourites from the two all seemed to qualify. The only act that scored highly with the televote that failed to qualify was the song of popular Lithuanian artist Mia, who has participated in the Lithuanian Eurovision selection numerous times, and this year, she’s out in the first round, which is certainly unexpected. This is compared to acts such as Juozas Martin who scored highly with the jury but lower in the televote, however with the addition of the points from the two, Juozas was able to qualify with just one point more than Mia.

Here are the results, in order:
