Over the weekend, we saw various nations hold national selections, inclusive of Hungary who kicked off their national selection process, A Dal. The heat saw 10 acts take to the stage, but only six qualified to the next round!
As per the usual format of the show, the first five qualifiers of the heat were decided by a mixture of jury and televote. The sixth qualifier was selected through a second round of public voting. The jury this year consists of Miklós Both, Judit Schell and Misi Mező
Here are the participants of the first heat:
Ceasefire X – Satellites
Fourtissimo – Kisnyuszi a kalapban
Király Viktor – Budapest Girl
Knoll Gabi – Nobody To Die Forá
Leander Kills – Nem szól harang
LivingRoom – Kirakat élet
Noémo – Levegőt!
Patikadomb – Jó szelet!
Süle Zsolt – Zöld a május
Vastag Tamás – Ne hagyj reményt
The winner of the heat was a tie between Leander Kills, and Zsolt Süle with 44 points in total. Coming in at 3rd place was Viktor Király with his song Budapest Girl, and coming in at 4th was Ceasefire X. The last qualifying place in the first round of voting was taken by Gabi Knoll with 40 points.
The second round of voting was solely televoting, and the public went against the original rankings, as it would have been Noémo who would have qualified to the final if the six were taken from the first round of voting. Instead, it was Tamás Vastag who claimed the sixth place, advancing to the semi-finals.
This means we will be saying goodbye to Living Room, Noémo, Fourtissimo and Patikadomb.
