Eurovizijos Continues: Here are the first finalists!

While other nations across Europe are selecting their Eurovision acts, Lithuania continues their mammoth national selection with the 7th round of Eurovizijos. This week was the first of two semi-finals, with seven acts competing for the first three spots in the final.

Just in case there weren’t enough participants still left in the competition, the Lithuanian broadcaster LRT opened an online wildcard round, where the public could vote on previously eliminated songs, with the top two returning to the competition. The vote decided that Greta Zazza and Ruta Loop would return with their songs Broken Shadows and Positive Thoughts respectively. Both of these entries exited the competition only last week.

Here is the full line-up of this week’s semi-final:

  • Gabrielius Vagelis – The Distant

  • GeraiGerai & Silvija Pankūnaitė – More Than You Know

  • Kotryna Juodzevičiūtė – That Girl

  • The Roop – Yes, I Do

  • Godo – Fire Fountain

  • Greta Zazza – Broken Shadows

  • Jurgis Brūzga – 4Love

As we know from previous weeks, the qualifiers are decided through a split of both jury and televote, so let’s see who impressed the voters this week! We’ll start with the jury vote, and this week the top votes went to Jurgis Brūzga with the entry 4Love. Coming in second with the jury was Kotryna Juodzevičiūtė, and in third was Godo.

With the televoters, the top points went to The Roop, and second place went to Jurgis Brūzga. In third was the recently voted wildcard entry Greta Zazza. With some disagreement between jury and televoting, the combined scores would be important to knowing which acts would qualify, and here they are:

  • Jurgis Brūzga – 4Love (22 points)

  • The Roop – Yes, I Do (19 points)

  • Kotryna Juodzevičiūtė – That Girl (16 points)

These three acts will continue through the final, and join the qualifiers from next week’s semi-final. Watch the qualifying entries here:
