Two Balkan stars we know and love have joined forces on a new track which has already had over 4 million views on YouTube! We are of course talking about Croatian singer Severina who we saw perform at Eurovision in 2006 alongside Bosnian hip-hop artist Jala Brat who performed as part of the 2016 Bosnian entry.
The track is called Magija, and as we would expect from Severina, it’s a song fuelled with ethno beats and a catchy melody. It’s a contemporary pop number with a Balkan twist which we have come to love from Severina. Jala Brat chimes in at just the right time and adds a welcome rap break to the beat heavy song.
This is not the first time the duo have worked together on a song, as they had earlier released the song Otrove which received over 1.3 million times on the day of its release on YouTube.

Since Eurovision, both Severina and Jala Brat have had fruitful careers. Severina has been active in the music scene for many years now, with a number of albums through the late 80’s and 90’s. She has continued to consistently release music inclusive of this year, where her next album is expected to be released towards the end of the year.
Jala Brat has also been busy, having released a number of new singles since his performance at Eurovision two years ago. Many of these singles feature fellow rapper Buba Corelli, both of which have featured in a number of songs from other Balkan artists.
