We were first introduced to Irish artist Molly Sterling back in 2015, where she represented Ireland at Eurovision with her song Playing with Numbers. Unfortunately the song failed to qualify, but she is proving that she is definitely one to watch with two incredible new singles.
Last year she returned with a new track titled Plain Static, a five minute long music masterpiece that proved that keeping things simple can have a greater effect. The song allowed Molly’s incredible voice shine through, and the same goes for her latest release titled Stripped Down.
The song begins only with Molly’s voice, and then stripped back instrumentation is introduced. The song is wonderfully simple, as the titled suggests, but once again it highlights Molly’s unique voice. The song grows in all the right places, then returns to the minimal voice-centric melody.
