Slovenian broadcaster RTVSLO has now launched the search for the next Eurovision act. The broadcaster has announced that the national final EMA will be used again for the 2019 season, however some changes will be made to the format.
EMA 2019 will feature the final only, rather than featuring semi-finals like in the previous two years. The final will feature up to 10 artists, and it will be up to a jury to select two artists who will continue to the super final. From there, the public will decide who will represent Slovenia in Tel Aviv next year.
The participants must be Slovene, but the songs can be performed in any language. The broadcaster has also said that they may be inviting artists or songwriters to participate, but entries can be submitted to the broadcaster up until the 14th of December.
