Portuguese broadcaster RTP have now announced the sixteen composers taking part in the 2020 edition of their national selection, Festival da Canção.
A public song submission was also held, and one of those submissions is now in the line-up. A total of 320 songs were submitted, all competing for the one spot available in the competition. The number of submissions increased by 120 compared to 2019, however is still down from the record 346 in 2018.

The line-up features Dino D’Santiago, who featured as part of the interval act for the Eurovision 2018 final. He performed Nova Lisboa, which you can listen to below:
The Portuguese selection will take place over three nights. Two semi-finals will take place on February 22nd and 29th at the RTP Studios in Lisbon. The final will take place on March 7th, with the location not yet named.
