Roxen Will Represent Romania at Eurovision 2020

After earlier announcing changes to their national selection, Romanian broadcaster TVR have now announced that 20 year old Roxen will represent Romania at the contest this year.

Unlike previous years, the Romanian broadcaster decided to internally select their representative, while they will hold a public selection to determine the song that their representative, Roxen, will sing. On March 1, Roxen will perform 5 songs in a public selection, where the decision will be up to a jury and the public vote, both worth 50%. In the case of a tie, the public vote will prevail.

Roxen knew from a young age that music would be important to her, and she first started singing at the age of 7. Since then, she has won various music competitions and at the moment, she is the 3rd most played artist on Romanian radio. Among some of her most famous hits are ‘You Don’t Love Me’ and ‘Ce-ti Canta Dragostea.’
