Earlier in the season, it was announced that Dutch-Greek artist Stefania would represent Greece at Eurovision this year. Now, her song SUPERG!RL has been released.
The Greek broadcaster describes the song as a contemporary, up-tempo pop song with ethnic elements. Greek composer and producer Dimitris Kontopoulos admits that finding the right song for Stefania was a challenge, as they wanted something to fit her age and personality. The song is about encouraging teenagers to believe in themselves and chase their dreams.
The music video was directed by Greek director Kosta Karydas in Athens. He comments on the video, saying, ‘We came up with a story with surrealistic elements. We followed a young woman who finds the strength to embrace her special abilities in a society that perceives her as an outcast. It is a journey to explore her inner strength.’
