It has now been announced that Senhit will return for San Marino, after last participating for the nation back in 2011. Despite the EBU song deadline rapidly approaching, San Marino is still yet to decide on a song, and it will be up to the public to decide!
There are two songs in the running to represent San Marino at Eurovision, ‘Obsessed’ and ‘Freaky!’ and it is up to the public to vote on their favourite entry. The songs will be released on Saturday the 7th of March, and fans can vote between 9:00 CET until midnight on the 8th of March. On the 9th of March, the EBU deadline, the winning song will be published on the official Eurovision YouTube Channel.
Senhit has Eritrean origin, however was born in Bologna in Italy. Her artistic debut took place back in 1999, and has worked with authors such as Massimo Ranieri. She was also the lead role of Nala in the stage musical of The Lion King. She has worked in the Italian music scene for years, whether it was releasing her own music or presenting as a VJ on television.
For her stage show at Eurovision this year, the broadcaster has invited Luca Tomassini to join the team. Luca is one of the most renowned names in the Italian creative industry, and will overlook the performance in May.
