Lesley Roy to Represent Ireland at Eurovision with ‘Story Of My Life’

Irish broadcaster RTÉ have now announced that Lesley Roy will represent the nation at Eurovision with the song, Story Of My Life.

The song, Story Of My Life was written and co-produced by Lesley Roy alongside some of her favourite co-writers, Robert Marvin, Catt Gravitt and Tom Shapiro. Commenting on the song, Lesley says, ‘We wanted something uptempo and triumphant, which centres around overcoming your difficulties in life and getting back up again’

The broadcaster has enlisted events production company THISISPOPBABY to work on the stage performance for Lesley in Rotterdam, and this is a partnership that the Irish head of delegation is ‘very much looking forward to.’

Lesley Roy is a singer-songwriter from Balbriggan, Dublin although she splits her time between her home in the East Village in New York City and Ireland. She released her debut album back in 2008 which was titled Unbeautiful. Lesley has had a successful career, lending her talents to a number of international stars, such as Adam Lambert, Medina, Miss Montreal, Jana Kramer, Marlee Scott and Deorro. She is also a lifelong fan of Eurovision, and she has said that participating in the 2020 edition is a personal goal that she can now tick off the list.
