We may not get to see our 2020 favourites take to the stage, but that doesn’t mean we can’t reminisce on our Eurovision favourites. This series is aimed to discover the team’s favourite entries from the 21st century, from 2001 to 2019.
In collaboration with ESCDaily, we will be reviewing some of their 21st Century favourites, while over on their site, you will find their reviews of our favourites!

Anita Reviews Dennis’ 21st Century Favourite
Lisa Darly – Tout de moi | 24th place, 22 points (Semi-Final)
With such few songs to pick from, it’s unsurprising that Dennis landed on this entry. Yeah, 24th place is probably a bit rough, but at the same time, I just feel completely uninspired by this song. I feel like the foundations of a decent song are there, but I think it falls a bit flat. The performance was good in terms of vocals, but visually was incredibly simple, and probably adds to the reasons why I don’t really enjoy this entry.
Joshua Reviews Brandon’s 21st Century Favourite
Lisa Darly – Tout de moi | 24th place, 22 points (Semi-Final)
I feel like 24th place for this entry is a little harsh. It was very sweet and just a nice, gentle ballad. In hindsight, maybe it simply didn’t do enough to capture enough votes. We’ve seen it happen before, where a song isn’t necessarily ‘bad’, but simply isn’t interesting enough to encourage people to vote. Overall, a good entry from Monaco, but the final results may have been one of the straws that broke Monaco’s back in terms of their participation.
