S4C, the Welsh national broadcaster has announced on social media that Wales will not be competing at Junior Eurovision this year.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Wales will not be competing at this year’s contest, which is set to be held in Warsaw, Poland in November. The broadcaster will not be airing this year’s contest, and there has been no statement as to whether we will see Wales participate in the contest next year.
Wales debuted at Junior Eurovision back in 2018, where they were represented by Manw and the song Perta. Last year, Erin Mai represented Wales with the song Calon yn Curo which finished in 18th place. Watch the performance again below:
