Cypriot broadcaster CyBC have announced that Cyprus will not be returning to Junior Eurovision this year.
Head of Delegation Evi Papamichael has confirmed to a fellow Eurovision website that the nation will not be returning to this year’s contest, which is set to be held in Warsaw, Poland.
The last time Cyprus competed at Junior Eurovision was back in 2017 with Nicole Nicolaou who unfortunately finished in last place at the contest. Cyprus has participated at the contest a total of 9 times, and was one of the nations to compete in the debut year of the contest. Their best result thus far is 8th place which they achieved in both 2004 and 2006.
