Germany has commenced the search for their next Junior Eurovision entry. The nation will use the selection process, ‘Junior ESC – Wer fährt nach Paris?’, with the submission period now open.
The application window for interested singers is now open. Singers between the ages of 9 and 14 can apply to take part in the competition. Applications can be submitted via the website kika.de until June 25th. Once the submission window concludes, a panel will select five singers to continue to the next stage.
The five successful singers will be invited to the KiKA studios between July 15 and 25 for the production of their voting clip. At the end of July, the voting will open for the public to vote online for their three favourites. The three acts that receive the highest votes will go through to the final of the selection. The final will take place on September 10th, with the three artists to perform two songs each.
Germany made their Junior Eurovision debut in 2020 with Susan and her song, ‘Stronger With You’. Unfortunately, the nation finished in last place, scoring 66 points.
