After an exceptional national final season in 2021, it has now been announced that Sanremo will return to its usual February timeslot.
The longstanding Italian song festival will take place in the first week of February. It was also confirmed that the hosts of Sanremo will be different to the hosts of Eurovision 2022, which broadcaster RAI is also organising.
During the 2021 season, Sanremo was pushed to the beginning of March in the hopes that it would allow for a live audience. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a live audience was not present for the song festival. MÃ¥neskin won Sanremo, and went on to represent Italy at Eurovision. As we know, the group went on to win Eurovision with their song, Zitti e Buoni.
