Three Singers Advance in German Junior Eurovision Selection

The five finalists in the German National selection have now been reduced to three artists, all hoping to represent the nation at Junior Eurovision this year.

Earlier in the season, five artists were revealed by German broadcaster KiKA. Members of the public were invited to vote for their favourites, with the top three advancing to the final. The final will take place on September 10th at the Central Club in Erfurt. The show will be broadcast on KiKA.

The three finalists are:

  • Marta – A 10-year-old from Bad Salzuflen
  • Pauline – A 12-year-old from Koblenz
  • Emilie – A 13-year-old from Homburg

The finalists will sing two songs each, which they have selected from four already produced songs. The songs were written specifically for Junior Eurovision by various composers. The winner will be selected by the public alone, with the jury in the show purely for commentary purposes.
