After three gripping semi-finals, the Swedish contenders travelled to Örebro to determine the final two automatic finalists, and the last two entries to get a second chance in Andra Chansen.
The show was hosted by last years’ Swedish participant Sanna Nielsen, alongside Robin Paulsson. The line-up was as follows:
Midnight Boy – Don’t Say No
Caroline Wennergren – Black Swan
JTR – Building it up
Hasse Andersson – Guld och grona skogar
Dinah Nah – Make Me (La La La)
Annika Herlitz – Ett andetag
Mans Zelmerlow – Heroes
After all the performances, the first two finalists were revealed, and they were JTR and Mans Zelmerlow. The two acts heading to Andra Chansen are Dinah Nah and Hasse Andersson.
So what’s next for Sweden?
Next up is the Andra Chansen round – or for beginners, the Second Chance round. This round will be held next Saturday, where eight participants will compete for four remaining places in the Final. The Acts are separated into Duels:
Duel 1 – Andreas Weise vs Linus Svenning
Duel 2 – Hasse Andersson vs Kristin Amparo
Duel 3 – Dolly Style vs Dinah Nah
Duel 4 – Behrang Miri ft Victor Crone vs Samir & Viktor
After this round is complete, the final line up will be known, and the final of Melodifestivalen will take place on the 14th of March in Stockholm.
