I can guarantee I’ll have some disapproving faces staring at the screen after this review…. This year, Maraaya was chosen to represent Slovenia. The duo is fronted by a very unique singer. Her voice is quite interesting, and it’s the point of differentiation for the song, but I have to say, I don’t think I like it. To me, it sounds like she is putting on a voice rather than that being her genuine voice.
What I do like though is the melody. I think it is very catchy, so I’ll give them that. I haven’t yet seen the rehearsal (just to keep this kinda objective) but I’m sure it will be something suitable for the performance, in other words, I expect it to be quite flashy.
I think even though this is a song popular with the fans, I’m not sure if it will be popular amongst the viewers who haven’t heard the songs before. I’d be happy if Slovenia placed well in the final, but I think they’ve had more deserving songs, such as their 2011 song. Overall, I’m not a huge fan of this song, but I suspect it will qualify.
I’m going to give this song a 5/10. It’s neither here nor there for me.

It’s time to talk about one of the best songs among the Eurovision songs this year, in my opinion. Some people might disagree with me, but she obviously has a unique voice! The type of voice she has makes the song better for me because it sounds sympathetic. Also, the tune of the song is very catchy, and the lyrics of the song are very harmonic, like ‘when you’re down, down low…’, it triggers me to sing it while I listen to it. According to my observations, there’s a large amount of people supporting this song in the contest, and it will probably achieve a top 10 result in the Eurovision final. I give this song a 9/10.
