Last night, the Austrian national final took place, where 10 acts competed for the opportunity to represent Austria at the 2016 edition of Eurovision in May. The show was hosted by Alice Tumler and Andi Knoll. The show was also graced by Conchita Wurst, who was not only a juror for the show, but she also performed her song from the 2012 Austrian National Final, ‘That’s What I Am.’

The 10 acts competing were:

  • Vincent Bueno – All we need is that love

  • LiZZA – Psycho

  • Orry Jackson – Pieces in a Puzzle

  • Elly V – I’ll be around (Bounce)

  • Lia – Runaway

  • Celine Roscheck & Farina Miss – Sky is the Limit

  • AzRaH – The One

  • Sankil Jones – One more Sound

  • Bella Wagner – Weapons Down

  • Zoë – Loin d’ici

The winning song was chosen with a mix of jury and televoting. In the first round of voting, the votes of these two parties combined was used to determine the two super-finalists. The top 3 were Elly V, Bella Wagner and Zoë, however the top 2 was revealed as Elly V and Zoë. The two super finalists performed their songs again, and this round, it was solely the public who got to choose the song. It was then announced that Zoë had won with her song Loin D’ici.
