Jamie-Lee Kriewitz will represent Germany!

After the craziness that was the German selection (which you can read more about here), we finally have a representative and a song. The show ‘Unser Lied für Stockholm’ took place in Cologne, and 10 diverse acts took to the stage to fight for the opportunity to bring Eurovision success to Germany once again.

The 10 acts competing were:

  • Ella Endlich – Adrenalin

  • Joco – Full Moon

  • Gregorian – Masters Of Chant

  • Woods of Birnam – Lift Me Up (From The Underground)

  • Luxuslärm – Solange Liebe in mir wohnt

  • Keøma – Protected

  • Avantasia – Mystery Of A Blood Red Rose

  • Alex Diehl – Nur ein Lied

  • Jamie-Lee Kriewitz – Ghost

  • Laura Pinski – Under The Sun We Are One

The vote was 100% down to the public, and after the first round, the three top voted performed their songs again for the super-final. The three super finalists were Avantasia, Alex Diehl and Jamie-Lee Kriewitz. After the second round of voting, Jamie-Lee was announced as the winner, and had collected 44.5% of the total vote.

This means that Jamie-Lee Kriewitz will take her song Ghost to the Eurovision stage in Stockholm. This is not the first time the 17 year old will perform to a large audience, as the young singer previously won The Voice of Germany in 2015.

You can listen to the song below, and if you think Jamie-Lee has what it takes to win Eurovision 2016, make sure you vote for her in our poll, which you can find here.
