Belgium has confirmed their artist for 2017!

News is slowly starting to trickle in about Eurovision 2017, and now, Belgium has released information about their act, who was internally selected by RTBF. Ellie Delvaux, who is known by the artist name Blanche will represent Belgium in Kyiv!

Blanche has previously taken part in The Voice Belgium, and is now working with Pierre Dumoulin, who is the lead singer of the group Roscoe to co-write the Eurovision entry. Apparently the song has already been written, however will be released at a later date. Roscoe won the Octave award for best album of the year twice, in 2012 and 2015.

Belgium has two broadcasters who take turns in choosing the act who will take part in Eurovision. RTBF often choose to internally select, while VRT tends to move towards national finals. This year, VRT chose Laura Tesoro, who placed 10th in the final, and in 2015, Loïc Nottet was chosen by RTBF to represent Belgium, and he placed 4th in the final.
