Over the weekend, the second heat for Hungary’s Eurovision selection A Dal was due to take place, however due to an unforeseen tragedy, whereby a Hungarian coach crashed near Verona, the second heat was postponed to a future date. In its timeslot was a vigil for the victims of the crash, of which there were unfortunately 16 Hungarians killed, and 26 injuries.
Now, the Hungarian broadcaster has announced how they are planning on catching up with the shows. The second heat will now be held on the 28th of January, this Saturday, followed by the final heat which will be held on the 4th of February. The semi-finals will be held on the 10th and 11th of February, and the final will be held on the 18th of February.
The acts that will take part in this weekend’s heat will be:
AnnaElza feat. Juli Kása
Chase
Kállay Saunders Band
Gina Kanizsa
Mrs Columbo
Zoltán Mujahid
Peet Project
Peter Kovary & The Royal Rebels
Ádám Szabó
Andi Tóth
The third heat will then therefore feature:
Kyra Fedor
Enikő Muri
Benjámin Pál
Joci Pápai
Gigi Radics
Orsi Sapszon
Soulwave
The Couple
Totova
Olivér Berkes and Zävodi
There are already six acts qualified to the semi-finals, and another six from each heat will join these acts. The semi-finals will then feature nine acts in each semi-final. A Dal will be broadcast live on Duna and Duna World television stations at 19:30 CET on the dates mentioned above.
All our thoughts and prayers are with those who are affected by the Hungarian bus tragedy.
