Russia are a powerhouse when it comes to Junior Eurovision, and it is a rare occasion when we see them out of the Top 5. With yet another 4th place last year with the Water of Life Project, Russia is on the search for the next Junior Eurovision act, who will travel to Georgia for the contest this November.
There was a record number of applications for the Russian selection this year. Hundreds of entries from children around Russia, all hoping to be able to represent their nation in Tbilisi this year. The semi-final for the National Final has already been held in Moscow at the Academy of Igor Krutoy. A professional music jury were in charge of selecting the final list of acts who will participate in the final on the 3rd of June.
In the final, a total of 20 acts from 12 different cities will take to the stage in the live show, and although the show is on the 3rd of June, the voting began on Saturday just passed, the 27th of May. You can vote on the Junior Eurovision website in Russia, and your votes along with the jury votes will decide who will represent Russia at Junior Eurovision this year!
