Belarus begins the search for their 2017 JESC act!

As we’ve recently reported, both Malta and Russia have begun searching for the next Junior Eurovision acts, and now Belarus is on the same track. The national broadcaster BTRC has opened the submission period for prospective artists, of which one will go on to represent Belarus at Junior Eurovision later this year in Tbilisi.

The submission period will be open until the 30th of June, and after this deadline, there will be auditions to select the artists which will go on to participate in the national final, which will be televised later in the (European) summer. The winner of the competition will be selected by 50/50 combination of public and jury votes.

Unlike in adult Eurovision, Belarus is one of the most successful Junior Eurovision nations, after winning the contest twice, and finishing in the top 5 numerous times. It is also one of few countries who have participated in every contest since it began in 2003!
