Malta release their Junior Eurovision Entry ‘Dawra Tond’

A few months back, Malta held a national final to select who would be representing the successful Junior Eurovision nation at the contest this year. Out of the finalists, it was Gianluca Cilia who triumphed above all, with his song to be released at a later date. Well, ladies and gentlemen, that later date is now, and we can now listen to the official Maltese entry!

The song is called Dawra Tond, and is an upbeat and fun song that will be performed in a mixture of English and Maltese. We’ve also got the official video for the song, which features Gianluca looking very suave, with bowtie and all! Watch the official film clip below:

Gianluca was born in 2007, and began performing at the age of 6. He has participated in competitions and international festivals, including a singing festival in Romania. His experience will prepare him for Junior Eurovision later this year, and with Malta winning two of the last 4 Junior Eurovision Song Contest’s, Gianluca has big shoes to fill!

What do you think of the Maltese entry?
