A Dal Continues: Here are the final six qualifiers!

A total of 30 acts started this journey, and only 18 remain as the last of the heats take place in Hungary. Over the last two weeks, we’ve seen the first two shows of Hungary’s national selection A Dal, and with the last heat came the last six places in the next round of the competition.

This week another 10 acts performed their entries, all hoping to be in the next stage of the competition. As in previous weeks, the voting is broken up into two rounds. The first round sees five acts qualify to the next round based on a combination of jury and televote. In the second round, one lucky act gets a second chance, as the public choose their 6th qualifier from the remaining acts.

Here are the competing acts for this heat:

  • Nova Prospect – Vigyázó

  • Cintia Horváth & Tomi Balogh – Journey (Break Your Chains)

  • Maszkura és a tücsökraj – Nagybetüs Szavak

  • Roland Gulyás – H Y P N O T I Z E D

  • Reni Tolvai – Crack My Code

  • Ham ko Ham – Bármerre jársz

  • #yeahla feat. Viki Eszes – 1 Szó Mint 100

  • Andy Roll – Turn the Lights On

  • Tamás Horváth – Meggyfa

  • Nikoletta Szőke, Attila Kökény and Róbert Szakcsi Lakatos – Életre Kel

With the jury and televotes combined, the winner of this last heat was Nikoletta Szőke, Attila Kökény and Róbert Szakcsi Lakatos, scoring top marks from the judges, and a total of 7 points from the public. Coming in a close second was Tamás Horváth with the song Meggyfa.

Here are the first five qualifiers:

  • Cintia Horváth & Tomi Balogh – Journey (Break Your Chains)

  • Maszkura és a tücsökraj – Nagybetüs Szavak

  • Ham ko Ham – Bármerre jársz

  • Tamás Horváth – Meggyfa

  • Nikoletta Szőke, Attila Kökény and Róbert Szakcsi Lakatos – Életre Kel

From the combination of the votes, the act that would have taken the last place in the next round would have been either Nova Prospect, or Reni Tolvai, however viewers disagreed and chose Roland Gulyás.
