Last weekend we saw Ukraine kick off their search for their next Eurovision participant, and this week the search continued with the second semi-final of their national selection. A total of 18 participants are taking part in the selection this year, split into two semi-finals. From each semi-final, only three acts qualify to the final, making a final of six.
This week the final 9 acts took to the stage with their competing entries. Here’s the full line-up:
-
Ingret – Save My Planet
-
Melovin – Under The Ladder
-
Julinova – Hto ya?

-
Kadnay – Beat Of The Universe
-

The decision of who will qualify was up to the jury, consisting of Jamala, Andriy Danylko (aka Verka Serduchka) and Eugene Filatov, as well as the public at home. This week the jury’s top points went to Tayanna with her song Lelya, and coming in second was Melovin with the song Under the Ladder. Coming in third with the jury was Kadnay with the song Beat of the Universe.
For the most part, the public agreed, giving the top three points to those three acts. The top points went to Melovin who had over 25% of the total televote. In second with the public was Kadnay with just over 15% of the vote, and Tayanna in third with just over 13% of the vote.
With the votes combined, the winner of the semi was Melovin, with Tayanna second and Kadnay third. These three will join last week’s qualifiers for the final which will take place on the 24th of February.
