Albania to select for Junior Eurovision this weekend!

Junior Eurovision news is starting to flow in as we inch closer to this year’s contest, and today’s news comes from Albania. We now know when Albania will be selecting their Junior Eurovision artist, and the positive news is that we won’t have to wait long to find out who will be representing the nation!

Albanian broadcaster RTSH have announced that Junior Fest 2018 will take place this Sunday the 23rd of September in the nation’s capital, Tirana. A total of 16 participants will take to the stage to perform, and we now know who these 16 participants are:

  •  Hera Hysi – “Melodi pranverore” (Spring melody)
  • Emmi Rushiti – “Mbremje feste (Celebration night)
  • Kristiana Veshaj – “Sot” (Today)
  • Efi Gjika  – “Barby”
  • Jasmina Hoko – “Happy”
  • Sindi Goga  – “Me tinguj fantazi” (With fantasy melody)
  • Iris Sula & Samanta Qoshku – “Çdo gjë do dashuri” (Everything needs love)
  • Era Rakipllai – “Panorama”
  • Merlin Xhai – “Bote e re” (New world)
  • Laura Boriçi – “Eshtë koha” (It’s time)
  • Iris Dollani – “Ylberi im” (My rainbow)
  • Sajana Kodheli – “Ylim” (My star)
  • Ana Kodra – “Prindër ju lutem” (Parent, please)
  • Melodian Mancala  – “Enderroj” (I dream)
  • Speranca Bregasi – “Ditari” (Diary)
  • Uendi Goga – “Olellin dhe yjet i dua” (The sky and stars love)

You may notice a familiar face on the list, and that’s last year’s participant Ana Kodra! She is back this year with a brand new song and the brand new potential to represent Albania again at this year’s contest.
