The Romanian broadcaster has now announced the 24 participants of the upcoming Selecția Națională. In total, 126 entries were received by the broadcaster TVR with a pre-selection jury used to reduce the number to 24 semi-finalists.

- Ommieh x Anakrisez – Rock this way

- Teodora Dinu – Skyscraper

Included in the line-up are two former Eurovision entrants, the first being MIHAI who represented Romania in 2006 with the song Tornerò, and also Dan Bittman who represented the nation back in their debut year with the song Dincolo de nori.
The semi-finals will take place in Arad and Iaşi on the 20th and 27th of January respectively, and during these semi-finals a national jury will select up to five entries to advance to the final. Public voting will also be included, with a 6th finalist also selected by the public each semi-final. TVR also have the right to select a wildcard finalist, meaning that the final will include up to 13 entries.
